Abstract

Primary education in Angola currently faces challenges that can only be achieved through the constant growth of skills and capacities in professionals of education. In this sense, the limitations are found in the pedagogical and methodological skills of these professionals to develop the Physical Education class, for which the following scientific problem was formulated: How to contribute to improve the theoretical and methodological preparation presented by overall teachers to teach Physical Education classes from 1st to 6th grade in primary schools in Kilamba, Angola? The general objective of the research was to design a set actions aim at the improvement of the pedagogical and methodological skills of the overall teachers in Kilamba, Luanda. During the research it was necessary to use techniques and methods such as: observation and the survey to verify and diagnose the real problems of the process under study, with a population of 22 teachers, as well as to review the theoretical and methodological foundations of the subject. The main contribution of the research was the design of a plan of actions for Physical Education and its partial implementation, which had a positive impact on the preparation of overall teachers by improving their professional performance.
