Abstract

This research was aimed at solving the scientific problem: how to improve the professional pedagogical ability to plan for the 3rd year students of the Higher Institute of Physical Education and Sports, in the Basic Handball course. It aims to propose an independent work system to improve the professional pedagogical ability of students to plan based on the use of independent work as a method. From the observation, the analysis of documents and the survey the main deficiencies were detected: determine and define the objective of the activity, select the methods to be used and indicate the appropriate organizational forms and procedures that demonstrate the existence of deficiencies in the ability to plan. The independent work system consists of 16 proposals elaborated in the conception of the same as a method which were evaluated by criteria of specialists who rated it as very appropriate in correspondence with the characteristics of the subject and the academic year of the selected sample. The development of the planning ability is essential for the exercise of the daily work activity of professionals in this area in the direction of the teaching-learning process
