Osteoarthritis is the fourth disease that gives patients the most quality of life for each year lived, causes pain and functional disability and at least affects 80% of the population over 65 in industrialized countries. In addition, it is the most important cause of functional disability in the musculoskeletal system in all races and geographical areas. This research aims to assess joint mobility in older adults with osteoarthritis of the knees of the Residential Services Center Dr. Agustín Campobianco Sánche; It is part of a descriptive, exploratory cross-sectional study, with a total population of 9 individuals. Data collection instruments such as the survey, the goniometry test and the VAS test were used. Through the application of the goniometry test, it resulted in all patients being below levels 90 ° -120 ° in flexion, 5 ° -10 ° in extension, manifesting greater degree of difficulty in the flexion movement required as stated by the researchers (Viel E, Danowski G, Blanc Y, Chanussot JC., 2001). The applied survey showed the need presented by patients and the institution with respect to the application of physical activities aimed at improving joint mobility in patients with osteoarthritis of the knees. The VAS test was applied, resulting in patients being at a moderate level of pain.
