Diagnosis of Sports Ambidexterity in Junior Water Polo Players
Keywords:
sport ambidexterity, analysis unit, descriptorAbstract
The paper explains the initial diagnosis of sports ambidexterity, the research variable being studied in male juniors Water Polo players (first population) and, also, in Water Polo coaches (second population). In this way, the actual state of sports ambidexterity could be characterized. To this end, 4 analysis units with the corresponding descriptors were set to guide the diagnosis of the two researched population. The main methods were literature review, structured observation, questionnaire, content test and methods triangulation. The diagnosis concludes with two findings: no sport ambidexterity was found in the research players and coaches lacked the necessary theoretical, practical and methodological resources to develop ambidexterity.
