Abstract

The study entitled Actions with traditional games for activities in the local development area "Los Alevines” complements the lack of work with ages 8-12 years, which responds to the research project: Recreation program for free time education in the community. The diagnosis of participation in activities was taken into account, based on the interests, tastes and preferences of children, keeping in mind the characteristics of the physical-recreational activities that were carried out, since today it is evident the insufficient use by children of traditional games in a freeway in leisure spaces, due to the indiscriminate use of new technologies. For the research, different theoretical, empirical, participatory techniques, as well as mathematical-statistical methods were used; which allowed responding to the following objective: Design a plan of actions with traditional games to increase the participation of children aged 8 - 12 years, in physical-recreational activities in the local development area "Los Alevines" of Santa Clara. Aspects of environmental education are developed in accordance with the objectives of Agenda 20-30 for the area in which the community is located and the results are specified in tables and graphs that are well broken down, which is why the results of the study are considered very relevant for the development of the community where it is applied in order to ensure that these cultural manifestations with deep social roots do not disappear from the socialization and recreational resources of children.
