Abstract

The article is a compilation of practical experience of a teacher in training in the Gothic Garden of Wisdom, in Bogota Colombia; plasma where the result of working with children who have autism spectrum diagnosis, amid regular grade school prekindergarten. The question problem is: How to enhance the cognitive development of children three and four years with autism spectrum; in the Gothic Garden of Wisdom?; to resolve it took into account thematic worked in the course of Pedagogy Inclusion in Cuba, and executive functions that every human being in the course of their life cycle; among these four basic skills they were chosen: motivation, attention, perception and memory; with this it was evident that cognitive development is enhanced because the children of three and four years are the most receptive brain plasticity by neuronal activity. As theoretical reference was considered psychologists Ivar Lovaas Oil with ABA therapy, Eric Schopler with TEACCH therapy; the precursor Lev Vygotsky and his theory on the zone of proximal development, and philosophical thought of the Apostle Cuban José Martí, leaving the conclusion that the four executive skills by applying these therapies, based on the theories above achieve optimum results in the regular classroom and that also are effective in working with autistic especially inclusion.
