Biomechanical analysis of the technical execution of the figure ballet in athletes of the Artistic Swimming of the school team of the EIDE of Villa Clara

Artistic swimming is a competitive and elite art water sport in the world, in its regulations the use of novel technique, skills and beauty in its execution does not escape, in recent years the results of the school team of the Villa Clara province in the provincial and national competitions they have not been satisfactory, presenting difficulties in the execution of the mandatory figures and free routines; important aspect and of great current need to perfect. The present investigation was directed to the realization of a biomechanical analysis of the technical performance of the mandatory figure ballet in two athletes of the team, in with the help of the application of the software for the analysis of movement, it was possible to determine some kinematic characteristics present in the behavior of said execution, the main deficiencies of the athletes in terms of the lack of control of the body with respect to the horizontal with the water, reason why they do not manage to extend the leg, which shows the need to apply a greater force at the hip point to not allow it to sink; aspects valued by the coaches of great utility for the improvement of the feasible competitive results for their use as basic elements in the reorientation of the training, the preparation and the improvement of the technique in the Villa Clara team.
