Diagnosis of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities for their integration into physical-recreational activities

The work emerges as an investigation based on the problems that schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities possess to integrate into the activities carried out in the community. In this sense, the study aims to know what is the status of the community participation process of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities of the special school "José M. Fuertes, for their social integration to physical-recreational activities?. To fulfill the objective, the community participation process of the selected schoolchildren must be diagnosed. This work is very important because it provides teachers with the diagnosis as a starting point to design recreational offers, adapted to the needs and potential of schoolchildren based on their integration into society. Methods of the theoretical level are used, such as the synthetic analytical and the deductive inductive, of the empirical level the interview, observation, document analysis, survey and triangulation are used, of the mathematical-statistical level the empirical distribution table is applied of frequency with the percentage analysis. The results obtained in the research focus on a physical-recreational diagnosis to undertake an effective social integration process of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities from the special school "José M. Fuertes", to the community from the school.
