We are pleased to present the publication of Vol. 12, No. 1 of the journal Science and Physical
Activity (CIAF), a new issue that reaffirms our commitment to disseminating specialized
knowledge.
Once again, we express our pride and satisfaction in having the opportunity to launch a new
edition, which embodies the rigor and dedication of the scientific work developed by local,
Cuban, and international authors. The Editorial Board wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to
the entire team for their constant effort, as well as to the contributors for their unwavering
commitment. To all of them, and especially to our readers, we dedicate this edition, designed
to contribute to the dissemination of research results in the areas of physical culture, physical
education, and sport; fields of recognized relevance to human beings and, above all, to their
health and well-being.
This issue offers a particularly compelling selection, comprised of the following articles:
The educational inclusion of students with postural conditions in Physical Education classes;
Physical Education and its influence on promoting school sports initiation; Recreational
Guidance and the Life Skills Task in recreational activities in nature; Body Composition of High-

Technical Execution of the Ballet Figure in Artistic Swimming Athletes from the Villa Clara EIDE
School Team.
Also of particular interest are the contributions related to:
Specific exercises to structure the counterattack in Handball for the Cuban Women's National
Team; Evolutionary analysis of physical strength capacity in Ecuadorian physical education; and
Attention to children with Down Syndrome from a multimodal approach to Physical
